EUTOPIA ENSEMBLE
Eutopia Ensemble was Founded in 2012 by Matteo Manzitti and quickly became “Ensemble in Residence” in a new Festival called “Le Strade del Suono”, based in Genoa. The Ensemble, made up of young and talented musicians, has explored different composition styles in the world of contemporary music: from the great names as Steve Reich, Luciano Berio, Gèrard Grisey, Fausto Romitelli, Peter Maxwell Davies, Franco Donatoni, Hans Werner Henze and Pierre Boulez to a new generation of composers, some of which first wrote for the Ensemble. The Eutopia Ensemble often works together with visual artists to produce not only a concert but a multimedia show. Two important parts of Eutopia's project has been: the musical theater (two operas and several experimental projects in the last five years) and various activities in music education (for instance “budding composer”, in which the Ensemble plays music written by children). Members of Eutopia Ensemble are: Valentina Messa (piano), Edoardo Lega (clarinet), Corinna Canzian (violin), Riccardo Agosti (cello), and Federico Bagnasco (doublebass) |
