Taiedo di Chions - free admission Giulia Pes, actress Denis Biasin, Leonardo Da Vinci's Accordion Riccardo Pes , cello and loop station To celebrate the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo Da Vinci, Denis Biasin and Riccardo Pes will be performing a few compositions, for Leonardo's accordion and cello with loop-station, from the Leonardo's era. The old and the new will be mixed in a concert that will bring the audience back to the past. Giulia Pes will be reading some excerpts taken from the authors who mostly had inspired Leonardo's thinking, like: Marsilio Ficino, Giannozzo Manetti, Giovanni Pico della Mirandola. It took nine years of research to build the accordion as Leonardo Da Vinci had imagined it. The italian violinmaker, Mario Buonoconto (http://www.antichistrumenti.it/home.html) , did that starting from a sketch found on page 76 of the original Atlantic Codex in Madrid. Buonoconto is specialized on historical instrument and he was also commissioned by the Science Museum of Milano to build several models of the war machines designed by Leonardo himself. The Genius of Leonardo had anticipated the birth of the accordion by almost 300 years: "Music - he wrote - is not to be called anything else than the sister of painting". Currently there are ten instruments available: three are exposed in exhibitions and museums, the others are played by international musicians . The first prototype is owned by the accordionist Denis Biasin, who has already played it in many concerts for important festivals, such as: Castelfidardo International Accordion Festival, The Violin museum in Cremona, the Embassy of Buenos Aires, The International Music Exhibition in Genoa, Mittelfest Festival, Legno Vivo Festival. https://www.leonardoaccordion.com/ http://www.antichistrumenti.it/home.html https://www.biasin.com/it/ |
